History
The TAS story began in 1980, when Mark Scully
started a small general contracting company out of
his own home. Just three years later, Mark and his
team of about 20 saw a need and an opportunity for a
quality concrete subcontractor in the Houston
market. TAS narrowed its focus, purchased equipment
and hired an additional 24 employees from Team
Concrete in order to fill that need.
The company steadily grew from there, developing
a reputation for delivering a high level of service
to its clients. As the company expanded its work
into the Dallas market, it was clear that this
uncommon level of service would be well received in
this area as well. In 1995, TAS acquired American
Concrete in Dallas, which spearheaded rapid growth
for the company.
Today, the TAS team consists of over 1,300
employees in two offices serving the Houston and
Dallas/Forth Worth commercial markets. While TAS has
seen its fair share of change, one thing will always
remain unchanged - our commitment to service.
Service
Yes, we pour concrete - and tons of it! But, what
TAS really offers is service. It's part of our
culture. And, it's one of the reasons we maintain
such long-standing client relationships.
When clients call, we listen. When they ask
questions, we respond. When issues arise, we
don't offer excuses, instead we face them head
on. Our approach to business is simple - we sit
down, roll up our sleeves and work with clients
to determine their needs. It's not just about
projects; it's about providing solutions.
